About the Role

Our company is seeking a Part-Time Construction Apprentice to assist with commercial and residential projects. This role will require travel and the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction field. The Part-Time Construction Apprentice will work under the supervision of our experienced construction team and will be responsible for assisting with various construction and basic plumbing tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of construction sites before work begins, including laying out tools and materials, setting up scaffolding, and clearing debris.

  • Perform various manual labor tasks such as digging trenches, carrying and stacking building materials, and operating construction equipment as directed.

  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for all workers on the job site.

  • Assist in measuring, cutting, and installing building materials as instructed.

  • Learn how to read and interpret blueprints and building plans to assist with construction tasks.

  • Perform basic plumbing tasks such as installing and repairing pipes, valves, and fixtures.

  • Keep the job site clean and organized to ensure efficient work processes.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure project goals and timelines are met.

  • Drive company vehicles to transport tools, materials, and equipment to job sites.


Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction/plumbing field. 

  • Basic plumbing skills and knowledge. 

  • Valid driver's license, minimum age of 25 years old, and a clean driving record. 

  • Ability to travel as required, both in-state and out-of-state

  • Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor tasks in various weather conditions. 

  • Ability to operate basic construction equipment such as power tools, saws, and drills. 

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team. 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.     



Preferred but Not Required Skills: 

  • Experience with concrete work.

  • Experience with plumbing.

  • Knowledge of electrical and HVAC systems. 

  • Certification in welding or other metalworking skills. 

  • Familiarity with building codes and regulations. 

  • OSHA 30 Certification.
